The Bride Started This Routine 1 Month Before Her Wedding — Everyone Kept Asking What Her Secret Was

Anushka's wedding was on May 28th. From April 1st she started a routine. On the wedding day when she arrived at the mandap, everyone thought — 'Is that glow makeup or something else?' It was not makeup. It was 28 days of effort.

Week 1 — Detox and Foundation

In the first week: turmeric-milk face mask every night. Wash face with warm water in the morning. Coconut oil massage at night. Reduce sugar, fried food and dairy this week. Let the skin detox from within.

Week 2 — Hydration and Radiance

In the second week: 3-4 litres of water daily. A glass of cucumber-mint water each day. Aloe vera gel at night. Vitamin C serum (the natural lemon-honey version). From this week a distinct glow begins to appear on the face.

Anushka Patil, bride

"My friends kept asking — 'What facial did you get?' I said — 'None. Just a routine.' Nobody believed me. But after seeing the photos, everyone admitted it."

Week 3 — Exfoliation and Tightening

In the third week, scrub twice a week — mix chickpea flour, yoghurt and a little honey. This removes dead cells. Also start facial yoga — 5 minutes daily. Skin begins to tighten.

Week 4 — Final Glow and Preparation

In the last week: milk cream and saffron mask at night. Don't try any new product 2 days before the wedding. Get plenty of sleep. Reduce stress. This is most important — because stress is the biggest thief of glow.

This routine is not only for brides. Anyone can start it — for any occasion, or without any occasion at all.
